We are pleased to see the numerous mails ElephantVoices receives from all over the world, often with questions about what elephants communicate. This has inspired us to develop a small multiple choice quiz that will test and improve your skills at understanding the language of elephants! Elephants have a lot to say - which is what ElephantVoices is all about.

In our quiz you can play 17 vocalizations or calls. With each one follows a short description, but you get 2 extra to choose from. If you listen carefully to the tone you may be able to tell which description fits, and you can tick off your guess and move on to the next sound. If you manage to tick 17 correct answers we may get suspicious that you are getting help from an elephant friend...
You will have much more fun if you are connected to a good stereo system or head phones, because most computer speakers can't handle elephant calls very well. Even though the sound files are heavily compressed it may take a few seconds before they load. So be a bit patient...
